The Simple Gospel Video Course

This course is designed for new believers and for those who have not yet learned the basics of becoming and being a Christian. It teaches you what Christianity is about, and what sort of lifestyle it empowers you to live. It will help you understand the Gospel and how to live your life in response to it.

  • Course Level: Fundamental
  • Course length: 10 or 12 lessons
  • Prerequisites: None
  • Recommended formats: Self-Study; Personal Discipleship; Small Group
  • Requirements:
    • Bible
    • Internet access to the course materials
    • Notebook (or the Note Tool in Logos Bible Software)
  • Expectations: (If you are following the Personal Discipleship or Small Group format.)
    • Consistent attendance and participation at all course huddles (meetings).
    • All assignments completed for each lesson before the huddle for that lesson.
    • Acknowledge/respond to all messages from the instructor within 24 hours.

Assignments

Before the first, introductory huddle:

  • Read and agree to the course description above.
  • Watch the introduction to the Simple Gospel Video Course HERE.

For each lesson listed below:

  1. Take notes on what you learn.
  2. Watch the video at the top of the page.
  3. Listen to and/or read the text of the lesson below the video.
  4. Complete the “Dig Deeper” section at the bottom of the page.

If you are following the Personal Discipleship or Small Group format:

  1. Complete additional tasks as assigned by the instructor.
  2. Be ready to summarize what the lesson taught, how it affected you, and how you will respond to what you learned.
  3. Be ready to ask questions and discuss details related to the assignments.
