Step 1

Read 1 Peter 1:3-12 and find every occurrence of the words “hope” and “faith”.

Write down which verses you found them and what was said about the word or how the word was used in each verse.

Step 2

Read the article: “Hope and Faith” 

Read: Hebrews 11:1-12:2. 

Ten times in this passage the term “By faith” is immediately followed by a person’s name.  

Write down the verse number and name of the person for each place this occurs in the text.

For each occurrence, describe what the text says about that person because of there faith.

Step 3

Read 1 Peter 1:3-12

Every time you see the word “hope” or “faith”, pause and write down any new insights you might have for that verse based on what you just learned about hope and faith.
